FOOD/MEAL RESOURCES DURING COVID-19 FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

  • LI Cares welcomes families in need to utilize their location in Freeport, that is an indoor office and will allow time to serve every family that comes. That location is providing a grab and go bag of food, pet product and frozen meat. The hours and locations as follows:  Nassau Center for Collaborative Assistance;  21E Sunrise Highway, Freeport, NY 11520. 516.442.5221 Mon/Wed/Fri 9-3. Tue/Thu 9-5
  • Glen Cove High School food pantry is open for drive up food pantry box of non-perishables on Wednesdays in the rear of the High School near the Orchestra Room.  Breakfast and lunch meals are available daily in front of the Glen Cove High School.  Hours of operation as follows:
  • Grab & Go breakfast/lunch is picked up on Monday to Friday from 10:30am-12:30pm in front of Glen Cove HS.
  • Glen Cove Food Pantry is open on Wednesday’s from 10:30am-12:30pm for GC families to pick-up food at the back of the GCHS at the orchestra room (arrangements can also be made to deliver food).  People who want to contribute food to our food pantry may drop it off in the front of GCHS Monday- Friday between the hours of 10:30am -12:30pm and security staff will bring the contributions to the Food Pantry
  • Glen Cove Senior Center can assist seniors 60+ with food delivery by calling 516-759-9610.
  • Charles Evans Center for mental health support:  Call 516-676-2388
